The Issue and Policy Challenge: <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Various studies have shown that students in primary schools in India suffer from low learning outcomes, As a result, their capacity to learn at a higher level of education further weakens. The disadvantaged get further disadvantaged, leading to India\u2019s workforce very likely becoming uneducated and unproductive in the future. \u201cHow can technology help improve learning outcomes in school education?\u201d \u2013 is the primary motivation for our research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This group shall address the following specific questions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1<\/strong>) What\nshould be the nature of pedagogical innovations to enhance learning outcomes? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2<\/strong>) How do we assess the impact of new technologies in\nenhancing learning outcomes? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3<\/strong>)\nWhat is an appropriate valuation method to assess the learning and\nperformance of students? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4<\/strong>) Does participating in activity-based learning programmes improve the learning levels? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(5<\/strong>) Can we\ndevise methods for providing the needed feedback to teachers and\nlearners? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(6<\/strong>) How could we use data for informed opinions on whether education systems result in the planned benefits for its participants?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
