I am a recipient of the Meenakshi Mukherjee Memorial Prize, 2022 by Indian Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies for the article “What To Do with the Past?: Sanskrit Literary Criticism in Postcolonial Space.” Journal of Indian Philosophy. (Springer). Vol 49, 2021. The distinguished jury which selected him for the award comprised of Prof Robert JC Young (Julius Silver Professor of English and Comparative Literature, New York University), Prof Rajeswari Sunder Rajan (Global Distinguished Professor of Literature, New York University), and Prof Rukmini Bhaya Nair, (Professor Emerita at Humanities and Social Sciences Department, IIT, Delhi). The work which won me the award is my paper “What to do with the Past: Sanskrit Literary Theories in the Postcolonial Space” (Journal of Indian Philisophy, Springer (2021).
